Like the Slovak one, the registration certificate has two parts: the **Osvědčení o registraci vozidla část I** is in the car, the **část II** — the **velký technický průkaz** — with the owner. Registration needs both. Registration tax and transfer duty are still payable, though. The validity of the Czech STK (technical inspection) is shown on the Osvědčení o registraci vozidla část I. With a valid STK, registration administration is enough; if the inspection has lapsed, an individual approval procedure and an official technical inspection are required. ## How much does it cost to register a car from the Czech Republic? For an average 90 kW, five-year-old passenger car the **basic official cost** **150,000 – 210,000 Ft** , depending on whether there is a valid foreign inspection. These are basic official fees.
