Ireland also drives on the left, though, so the vehicle is **right-hand drive** : because of the beam pattern, adjustment or headlight replacement is often needed before the Hungarian inspection. Registration tax and transfer duty must still be paid, though. A right-hand-drive version is the most sensitive point at the Hungarian inspection: the beam pattern is aimed for driving on the left, and that has to be sorted before the test. It is a cost, but not an obstacle. ## How much does it cost to register a car from Ireland?
