Why you need a bilingual sales contract
When registering a vehicle imported from abroad, the Hungarian authority asks for a sales contract in Hungarian, or one with a Hungarian translation. A bilingual contract solves this in a single document: no official translation is needed, which saves you thousands of forints and several days.
Alongside the Croatian prometna dozvola (registration certificate), the contract is the document most often missing in Croatian purchases — many private sellers part with the vehicle on a verbal agreement alone.
Which contract do you need?
The right contract depends on who is selling and who is buying. They all cost 999 Ft + VAT.
The wording follows the legal status of the parties — for companies and dealers the representation and warranty clauses differ too. Every version costs the same.
