Why you need a bilingual sales contract
When registering a vehicle imported from abroad, the Hungarian authority asks for a sales contract in Hungarian, or one with a Hungarian translation. A bilingual contract solves this in a single document: no official translation is needed, which saves you thousands of forints and several days.
With Russian-language documents (ПТС, СТС) the question of certified translation arises more often than with EU countries — here too the bilingual contract is the fastest solution, with no official translation needed.

Do the Russian documents need a certified translation too?
Not for the bilingual sales contract, since that already contains the necessary data in both languages. For the vehicle’s other Cyrillic documents it must be judged case by case.

Is a certified translation needed too?
Not with a bilingual contract. If you only have a foreign-language contract, a certified translation is required.
