Why you need a bilingual sales contract

When registering a vehicle imported from abroad, the Hungarian authority asks for a sales contract in Hungarian, or one with a Hungarian translation. A bilingual contract solves this in a single document: no official translation is needed, which saves you thousands of forints and several days.

The Israeli registration certificate is in Hebrew and structured differently from the Hungarian one — which is why the bilingual contract matters especially here.

Is the Hebrew registration certificate enough without translation?

The bilingual contract can be submitted without a certified translation, but the original Israeli registration certificate must also be presented.

Will the government office accept this contract?

Yes. The whole point of the bilingual contract is that it can be submitted without a certified translation.

Is a certified translation needed too?

Not with a bilingual contract. If you only have a foreign-language contract, a certified translation is required.
